Thandel Leaked Online: Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi's Film Falls Prey To Piracy Hours After Release

After Pushpa 2 and Vidaamuyarchi, another south film has fallen prey to piracy. Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, got leaked on malicious piracy websites, hours after its release in theatres on February 7, Friday.

According to reports, Thandel got leaked online and is now available to stream and download on various torrent websites notorious for piracy, including Filmyzilla, Tamilrockerz, Movierulez, Telegram and others. To make things worse, the film is available on the torrent websites in high-definition quality.

This will have a huge impact on the film's box office collection, at a time when drawing the audience to the theatres is already a difficult task.

The makers of Thandel are yet to issue an official statement on the leak.

Vidaamuyarchi, starring Ajith, also released on February 7 and that film too fell prey to piracy despite makers urging to not leak the film.

Earlier, Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani got leaked online, and it caused a huge dent in the film's box office collection. The film, which was mounted on a budget of Rs 450 crore, managed to earn only Rs 155 crore at the box office.

Pushpa 2, Amaran and other south films were also leaked online by miscreants, and the filmmakers are now trying to launch a massive crackdown on the piracy industry to secure their films' theatrical runs.

Meanwhile, Thandel is a romantic action thriller film based on a real-life incident that took place in 2018. The film has been directed by Chandoo Mondeti and producer by Bunny Vasu under the banner of Geetha Arts.
