Watch: Dipika Chikhlia recreates Sita's look from Ramayan after 35 years, wears same saree she wore during Luv Kush Kand

Veteran actress Dipika Chikhlia, who is best known for playing the role of Sita in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, has recreated her iconic look from the mythological show after more than 35 years.

Taking to her official Instagram account, Dipika shared a series of videos in which she is seen wearing a yellow saree. In the caption, she also revealed that it is the same saree she wore in the year 1988, during the shoot of Luv Kush Kand.

"Part 3 final … wanted to share …this is the same Saree I wore during luv Kush kand," she captioned one of her videos.

In other videos, she recreated the look of Sita. "Throw back … nostalgia …..unedited footage or is it recreated," read the caption of her post.

Dipika gained a lot of popularity for her portrayal of Sita and audiences still appreciate her performance in the show.

'Ramayan' is an Indian historical-drama epic television series, which aired during 1987-1988. It was created, written, and directed by Ramanand Sagar. The show was a television adaptation of the ancient Indian Hindu epic of the same name.

The show was a game-changer for Indian television, hooking the nation to it. Sunday mornings were never the same for families in India after the first episode of 'Ramayan' aired on television.

The impact was such that the actors associated with the show, continue to live under the shadow of their characters, with people remembering them for the roles they played in the show.

'Ramayan' also starred Arun Govil as Rama, whereas Lakshman was played by Sunil Lahiri, and Hanuman by late actor Dara Singh.

Meanwhile, Dipika has also worked in a number of films including 'Cheekh', 'Vikram Betaal', 'Ghar Sansar', 'Khudai', 'Gaalib', among others.
