Balika Vadhu actress Neha Marda on premature delivery of baby girl: 'She was with me briefly, I am yet to hold her'

Popular television actress Neha Marda, best known for playing the role of Gehna in Balika Vadhu, welcomed a baby girl this week.

Neha has not announced anything on social media yet but according to a report in ETimes, the baby was born prematurely and the mother-daughter duo is hospitalised in Kolkata.

Neha's blood pressure became a concern soon after she got pregnant, and it reportedly went erratic in the fifth month. Because of the complications, Neha was rushed to the hospital a week ago.

Neha: She had to be moved to NICU being a premature baby

"I am glad the phase is over, and I have been blessed with a beautiful daughter. Both of us are doing fine. I am hoping to be discharged by the end of this week and my daughter in a fortnight. I am yet to hold my child and gaze at her lovingly. She was with me briefly before she had to be moved to NICU being a premature baby. She has to put on some weight," Neha informed the news portal.

Neha has been quite active on social media throughout her pregnancy. In the last few months, she gave glimpses of her pregnancy journey to fans and followers on Instagram. She also shared some wellness tips for new mothers.

In November 2022, Neha shared a picture with her husband from her maternity photoshoot. She can be seen flaunting her baby bump in a red dress.

"Shri Shivaya Namastubhyam 🙏 Finally god has arrived in me 🙏 Baby Coming soon 2023," Neha captioned her post.

Neha and Ayushman Agrawal tied the knot in 2012.

Neha's professional life

After her hit TV show Doli Aramaano Ki, the actress had reportedly taken a break of six years and she was in Patna to enjoy her married life. Now, the actress is back in action and has been doing fiction shows.

She last played the role of Shubhra Chaddha in the 2021 show Rishton Mein Katti Batti.

Neha also participated in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 8. She had also appeared as a guest contestant in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8.
