Shaitaan Actress Janki Bodiwala Opens Up About Intense Workshop On Gujarati Film Vash: 'Director Asked Me To Pee For Real In Scene'

Janki Bodiwala, who made her Bollywood debut in 2024 with Shaitaan alongside Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, and Jyotika, originally starred in the 2023 Gujarati film Vash, on which Shaitaan is based. Recently, the 29-year-old actress revealed an intense moment from the Vash workshop, where director Krishnadev Yagnik asked her to actually pee for a crucial scene.

Speaking to Filmfare, Janki said, "I did the Gujarati version, and I had the same scene to perform there. While we were doing workshops, the director, he’s a very good person. He asked me, can you just do it for real? The pee scene. It will make a big impact. And I was so happy about it. Like, whoa! Being an actor, I’m getting a chance to do it on screen. Something that no one has ever done."

She further explained that the scene didn't end up being filmed that way because of artistic considerations and the practical challenges of multiple retakes.

"It wouldn’t have been possible practically on set. So we found a way of doing that. I was happy I get to do things I can’t in real life. And that scene is like literally the favourite scene. And because of that scene, I said yes to that film," added Janki.

Who is Janki Bodiwala?

Janki Bodiwala has predominantly acted in Gujarati films. She made her acting debut in the 2015 Gujarati film Chhello Divas, which was written and directed by Krishnadev Yagnik.

Later, she acted in several movies including O! Taareee, Tamburo, Chhutti Jashe Chhakka, Tari Maate Once More and Naadi Dosh, among others.
