In a major faux pas, a theatre in Kochi directly screened the second half of Pushpa 2, without screening the first half. The audience realised the goof up only after the end credits rolled on the screen and they demanded a refund from the theatre officials for the mistake.
The incident took place at the Cinepolis Centre Square Mall theatre in Kochi on December 6, during one of the evening shows. As per reports, when the audience realised that they had only watched half of the 3-hour-20-minute movie, they unleashed their wrath at the theatre authorities and demanded that the ticket price be refunded.
When the authorities tried to negotiate, some of the viewers asked the theatre officials to rectify their mistake and play the first part. Around 9 pm, the first half of the film was then screened separately for only 10 viewers who stayed behind.
The theatre officials promised that the other viewers will be given the refund for their tickets.
