YouTuber-turned-actress Prajakta Koli, who is popular among her fans as 'MostlySane', got married to her beau Vrishank Khanal on February 25, Tuesday, after dating for more than 13 years. And at the wedding, the Mismatched actress made sure to honour her husband's Nepalese roots by wearing their traditional outfit and jewellery.
While Prajakta and Vrishank are yet to share photos of their Nepalese wedding on Instagram, some photos of the two in their traditional attires were shared by the guests, and they are now splashed all over social media. In the photos, the Neeyat actress can be seen looking gorgeous in a traditional Nepalese wedding saree, complete with a Tilhari around her neck.
A tilhari is the Nepalese version of a mangalsutra, and it put by the groom around his bride's neck during their wedding. It is worn by Nepalese women as a symbol of their married status.
Vrishank, on the other hand, looked sharp in a Daura Suruwal, which is one of the national outfits of Nepalese men.
Prajakta and Vrishank began dating when they were in college, and the two have never shied away from acknowledging their relationship in public. They got married on Tuesday in Karjat, in the presence of their friends and family members.
Both of them opted for off-white bridal attires from the shelves of Anita Dongre for the main wedding, followed by their Nepalese look for the reception.
It was in 2023 when Prajakta and Vrishank announced their engagement. Flaunting her diamond ring, the actress wrote on Instagram, "Vrishank Khanal, is now my ex-boyfriend."
Opening up about the proposal later, Vrishank told Vogue, "I was planning the proposal for a long time. We were on a camping trip to West Virginia, with my sister and cousins based in the US. There’s a very scenic waterfall trail and I wanted to pop the question there. I tried to make it as discreet as possible."
"But I had an intuition about it, so I had already gotten my nails done," Prajakta quipped.
