Mumbai: Fire Breaks Out At Singer Shaan's Building In Bandra, 9 Rescued; Visuals Surface

Mumbai: A fire broke out in a flat on the sixth floor of Fortune Enclave, a 15-story high-rise building on 14th Road, Bandra (West), in the early hours of Tuesday. According to reports, legendary singer Shaan resides in a flat in the same building. The incident was reported to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) at 12:57 am, and a Level I fire call was declared by 1:18 am.

Firefighters swiftly responded to the situation, rescuing several residents trapped inside the building. Among those evacuated were nine individuals, including one male and eight females, from the 15th floor, who were guided to safety via the staircase. Additionally, one woman was rescued from the second floor, and three others, two females and one male, were safely brought down from the eighth floor.

Elderly Woman Rescued

During the operation, an elderly woman, identified as Sati Gopal Parayani, 80, was found unconscious on the eighth floor. She was immediately rescued by fire personnel and transported to Bhabha Hospital, Bandra, via a 108 ambulance. According to hospital authorities, her condition is stable.

Multiple agencies were mobilized to control the situation, including MFB units with four fire engines, four jumbo tankers, one aerial water tower, one hydraulic platform, and additional staff. The police, Adani Energy, ward staff and ambulance services were also present at the scene.

The fire was fully extinguished by 3:20 am, and the building was completely evacuated to ensure residents' safety. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. No fatalities were reported, and all rescued individuals are safe.
