'Mujhe Ijazat Hai 4 Shaadiyon Ki': Pakistani Actor Danish Taimoor SLAMMED For Polygamy Comment In Front Of Wife Ayeza Khan (VIDEO)

Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor found himself at the receiving end of severe criticism after a video of him making a controversial statement on polygamy in front of his wife went viral. In the video, he can be seen boasting that he can marry four times if he wants to, while appearing on a show with wife Ayeza Khan.

Ayeza recently appeared on Danish's show, Mehfil-e-Ramadan, as a special guest, during which the two spoke about family, children, career and other topics. It was then that Danish quipped, "Mujhe ijazat hai chaar shaadiyon ki... Main kar nahi raha, vo alag baat hai. No one can take it away from me."

"This is my love, my respect for her, that I want to spend my life with her right now," the actor added, pointing at his wife.

As Danish made the statement, Ayeza looked visibly taken aback, however, she managed to maintain her composure and proceeded with the show.

The video has now gone viral on the internet, with netizens slamming Danish for his tone deaf comment, that too in front of his own wife. "Men and their obsession with only this particular right to keep looking for other girls and portraying their loyalty as ehsaan (sic)," a netizen commented, while another wrote, "Would have divorced him right there (sic)."

Danish got married to Ayeza Khan in August 2014. They have two children -- a son and a daughter.

Danish is known for shows like Jaan Nisar, Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi, Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai, and others and he is often seen portraying characters with shades of toxic masculinity in them.
