Kaali Poster Controversy: Delhi court issues summons to filmmaker Leena Manimekalai
Leena had shared the poster of her upcoming film in which she had shown goddess Kali smoking a cigarette and holding LGBTQ flag

A Delhi Court has reportedly issued a summons to filmmaker Leena Manimekalai and others over 'Kaali' row.
For those unversed, Leena had shared the poster of her upcoming film in which she had shown goddess Kali smoking a cigarette and holding LGBTQ flag.
A case was also filed against the filmmaker for depicting the Hindu goddess in an ‘uncalled manner’ and for the poster and promotional video of the film.
According to a report in India Today, the plaintiff has filed the suit for permanent and mandatory injunction against Leena and others.
According to the plaintiff, the poster of the film hurts religious sentiments and is against the basic principles of morality and decency.
