'Highlight Of My Career': Anupam Kher Is Over The Moon As Robert De Niro Attends Tanvi The Great Premiere In New York

Veteran actor Anupam Kher was in for a treat as Hollywood legend Robert De Niro attended the screening of his directorial film, Tanvi: The Great, in New York on Friday. Kher called it the "highlight of his career" and shared photos and videos with De Niro from the screening.

Kher took to his Instagram handle to share videos in which he can be seen interacting with De Niro. The legendary actor even posed with the cast and team of Tanvi: The Great as he attended the premiere.

Along with the visuals, Kher wrote, "WORLD’S BEST ACTOR ATTENDS THE PREMIERE OF “TANVI THE GREAT” IN NEW YORK! What else can an actor/director ask from the God! Thank you dearest #Tiffany and Mr. #RobertDeNiro for attending the premiere! (sic)."

"It easily is the highlight of my entire career. I am still in shock. But then I also say na ‘KUCH BHI HO SAKTA HAI’! Jai Mata Ki! (sic)," he added.

Tanvi: The Great premiered at the New York Film Festival. The film also marks a significant milestone in Kher's career as with the film, he has returned to direction after 23 long years.

Tanvi The Great marks Anupam's second directorial, his last being the 2002 film, Om Jai Jagadish, starring Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan and Abhishek Bachchan in the titular roles. "When I want to make a film, a story I want to tell and feel from my heart -- when I get a story like that which I want to share with the world, I would direct a film. So, it took me 23 years to find such a story," he had said earlier.

"I worked on the story for 3-3.5 years. We shot it last year, and this year, we will bring it to the world," Kher added.
