'Everybody Wants Union Of Man & Woman': Aashiqui Fame Anu Aggarwal Says Casting Couch In Bollywood Is 'No Big Deal'
Actress Anu Aggarwal, who became a national sensation with the 1990 film, Aashiqui, shared her opinion on the raging topic of casting couch in Bollywood, and quipped that it was "not a big deal". "Since life has started, there’s man and woman, and there are two energies, male and female, their union is something that everybody wants," she quipped.

Actress Anu Aggarwal, who became a national sensation with the 1990 film, Aashiqui, shared her opinion on the raging topic of casting couch in Bollywood, and quipped that it was "not a big deal". She stated in a recent podcast how it was a common occurrence in every industry, and not just Bollywood.
During her conversation with Pinkvilla, she stated that she had close relationships with all her directors, including Mahesh Bhatt, but there was "no hanky panky". She also stated that she was never subjected to casting couch.
"Kahan nahi hai casting couch? It's there even in banks, corporate houses and other places. What are you talking about? Why are we pretending? Everywhere there’s casting couch. Since life has started, there’s man and woman, and there are two energies, male and female, their union is something that everybody wants. That’s what’s entire history of Earth," Anu said.

Anu Aggarwal became an overnight sensation with the 1990 film Aashiqui, which also starred Rahul Roy. The film went on to become one of the most popular musicals of Bollywood.
She went on to star in films like King Uncle, Ghazab Tamasha, Khal Naaikaa, Janam Kundli, Return of Jewel Thief, and others, post which she joined a yoga school in Bihar and stayed there as a karmayogi.
In 1999, Anu met with a serious car accident, post which she was in coma for 29 days, and that marked the end of her thriving film career.
