Television czarina Ektaa Kapoor has landed herself into legal trouble once again, courtesy her show on the OTT app, Alt Balaji. Social media personality Vikas Pathak, aka Hindustani Bhau, had accused the producer of "disrespecting Indian soldiers" in her show, and a local court has now asked the Mumbai Police to conduct a probe in the matter.
As per a Times Now report, a magistrate court in Bandra directed the Mumbai Police to launch an investigation in accordance to the claims made by Hindustani Bhau back in 2020. The court has asked the cops to submit a report by May 9 on the complaint under section 202 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
For those unversed, the case dates back to 2020 when Hindustani Bhau had filed a complaint against Ekta, her OTT platform Alt Balaji and her parents Shobha Kapoor and Jeetendra, accusing them of disrespecting our jawans.

In his complaint, he slammed a show on Ekta's platform for showing a military officer indulging in "illicit sexual act" while in his uniform.
"The accused have stooped to a cheap low and shamelessly targeted the dignity and pride of our country by depicting Indian Army military uniform in the illicit sexual act with national emblem on it," the complaint said.
Ekta and the Alt Balaji team are yet to react to the court directive.
This is not the first time that Ekta has come under the scanner for the content on the Alt Balaji app. Back in 2024, an FIR was filed against Ekta after Jabalpur BJP MLA Abhilash Pandey accused her of showing "bold content involving children" in one of her web shows, titled Gandii Baat.
