Disha Salian Death Case: 'Her Father Demanded Ektaa Kapoor, Dino Morea's Phone Records To Be Checked', Reveals Sena MP Naresh Mhaske
Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske called for a serious probe, stating that Disha Salian's father Satish Salian's claims should not be dismissed. He alleged that key evidence was hidden and that Disha's father was pressurised. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut dismissed the allegations, asserting that the case was an accident, not a murder. He accused the media of distorting the narrative

The controversy surrounding the death of celebrity manager Disha Salian has resurfaced after her father, Satish Salian, filed a petition in the Bombay High Court, seeking a fresh probe into her tragic death in 2020. In his plea, he urged the court to register an FIR against Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray and to transfer the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Amid these developments, Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske called for a serious probe, stating that Satish Salian's claims should not be dismissed. He alleged that key evidence was hidden and that Disha's father was pressurised.
While interacting with media persons on Thursday (March 20), he said, "Disha's father has stated in his petition that he was being pressured, and much of the evidence was hidden. He took the names of people like Ektaa Kapoor, Dino Morea, and Aditya Pancholi and asked for their phone records to be checked."
"This should be investigated. He is not making any fake allegations… Everyone knows Aaditya Thackeray's nightlife friend group. If they are innocent, then Aaditya Thackeray and Sanjay Raut should come forward and demand an enquiry into the case," Mhaske added.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut dismissed the allegations, asserting that the case was an accident, not a murder. He accused the media of distorting the narrative.
"Look, everything about the case, you (media) all are misusing it. I have looked at the police investigation, and it was an accident, not a murder," Raut stated, as reported by ANI.
Questioning the timing of the petition, Raut highlighted that Disha Salian’s father had filed the plea five years after the incident. "This is not a murder case; you are saying this. This is being said through you (media). Her father has filed a petition five years after the incident," he said.
Raut further claimed that political opponents were using the case to defame Aaditya Thackeray and malign the Shiv Sena (UBT). "This dirty politics is defaming our state's name. This is an attempt to malign the name of a youth leader who is doing good work and to malign the image of our party," he added.
Disha Salian, who had managed several Bollywood celebrities, was found dead on June 8, 2020, after reportedly falling from a high-rise building in Mumbai. The Mumbai Police had registered it as an accidental death, but conspiracy theories emerged, linking her demise to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, which occurred a few days later.
In 2023, a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed by Mumbai Police to look into the case. However, with fresh demands for a CBI probe, the case has once again turned into a political flashpoint.
