Christmas 2023: Baby Raha Sits On Mommy Alia Bhatt's Lap, Following First Media Appearance At Kapoors' Christmas Lunch: PHOTO

Fans worldwide of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt experienced a joyous Christmas as the couple shared the first glimpse of their baby girl, Raha, with the media on Monday afternoon. Following a longstanding family tradition, the Kapoors gathered at the ancestral home of the late patriarch Raj Kapoor for their annual Christmas lunch. This ritual has been faithfully observed by the Kapoor family for generations.

Among the recognizable faces captured in the family photo with Ranbir, Alia and their daughter Raha are Karisma Kapoor, accompanied by her parents Randhir and Babita, along with her children Samaira and Kiaan. Also present are Zahan Kapoor, known for Faraaz, with his partner Krishita Shetty, Armaan Jain and his wife Anissa Malhotra, along with their newborn son Rana, Aadar Jain and his partner Alekha Advani and Agastya Nanda of The Archies fame. Watching over the family with pride is the family's eldest matriarch Krishna Raj Kapoor.

Nevertheless, the family keenly felt the absence of certain members, namely Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and their sons Taimur and Jeh, who are currently spending their customary Christmas vacation in London.

Even Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor and his sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and her family were absent from the celebrations.

Earlier in the day, Ranbir and Alia graciously shared the first glimpses of their daughter Raha with the media, which left the internet gushing over the genetics acquired by the little girl. Soon enough, the internet brimmed with comparisons as netizens compared her to her late grandfather Rishi Kapoor while others were of the opinion that Raha held her great-grandfather Raj Kapoor's blue eyes.

2023 has been a great year for both Ranbir and Alia with the success of their films Animal and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. While Ranbir is yet to sign a new film, except for the speculated Nitesh Tiwari-remake of the Ramayana, Alia is already progressing with the shoot of her next production Jigra, which will be helmed by Vasan Bala.
