Priyanka Chopra holds daughter Malti Marie in her arms as she returns to LA home

After her brief stint in India, Priyanka Chopra Jonas jetted off to Los Angeles. Priyanka was in India to promote her haircare brand alongside a visit to some rural areas in Uttar Pradesh as a Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF.

Upon reaching home, the doting mother took her baby girl in her arms while laying on the floor, as her husband Nick looked upon the two.

The actor, who lives in Los Angeles and was in India for the first time since the pandemic.

On Monday, Priyanka visited Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh to see the work being done by UNICEF and its partners to end violence and discrimination against girls in the state.

Priyanka also shared several images and videos of herself visiting several UNICEF centers. She visited Composite School Aurangabad in Lucknow where she met little boys and girls. She also visited 'Anganwadi' in Lalpur.

Priyanka was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Her parents Madhu and Ashok Chopra were physicians in the Indian army. As they were from an army background, her family had to move several times, including Delhi, Chandigarh, Ambala, Ladakh, Lucknow, Bareilly and Pune. So, she spent her childhood in Uttar Pradesh as well and considers the place close to her heart.

She is now set for her first Hollywood film as a lead - "Love Again" is scheduled to release in May 2023. Priyanka's next Hindi film will be Farhan Akhtar-directed "Jee Le Zaraa". The movie, set to get into production next year, also features Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. She also has "Citadel" produced by Russo Brothers. The upcoming sci-fi drama series is being directed by Patrick Morgan and stars Richard Madden.
