'Liger is a blockbuster': Vijay Deverakonda confident about his film's success at the box office

South superstar Vijay Deverakonda, who is all set to mark his Bollywood debut with 'Liger', is quite confident about the film's success.

The actor, along with his co-star Ananya Panday, is currently busy hopping across the country to promote 'Liger' and spend time with the enthusiastic fans. During one such event, Vijay claimed that the film will be a blockbuster, and also narrated a dialogue from it.

"My favourite dialogue in 'Liger' is ‘We are Indians... Podham kotla durham... Aag hai andar. Duniya ko aag laga denge. Sab ki waat laga denge!'," he shared.

He went on to say, "There is no doubt about the movie. The movie is a blockbuster. The whole of India should hear the sound. On August 25, we will all strike together. Thanks to all the Liger team. Thanks to all the audience. I love you."

'Liger' is a film about a slumdog of Mumbai streets becoming a champion in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) sport.

Ramya Krishnan will be seen as Vijay's mother, while Ronit Roy will play his coach.

Touted to be one of the biggest action extravaganzas in India, 'Liger' also features boxing legend, Mike Tyson.

The upcoming sports drama is produced by Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur, and Jagannadh.

The film is slated to get a worldwide theatrical release on August 25, 2022, in five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
