'JugJugg Jeeyo' Box Office Collection Day 2: Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani's film earns Rs 12.55 crore

The much-anticipated family entertainer 'JugJugg Jeeyo', starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in key roles, opened with a bang at the box office.
The film which released on June 24, earned Rs 9.28 crore on its very first day, and it witnessed a massive jump on its second day.
On Day 2 of the film's release, which is also its first Saturday, 'JugJugg Jeeyo' minted Rs 12.55 crore. With that, the total earning so far has reached Rs 21.83 crore.
With a powerful word of mouth, 'JugJugg Jeeyo' saw an overall jump of over 35 per cent from Friday to Saturday. In South India circuits like Mysore, it went up by 53 per cent, 50 per cent in Tamil Nadu, 50 per cent in Kerala, and the Mumbai circuit also showed a 46 per cent rise in collections.
North India continues to lead the collections with 40 per cent increase in Punjab. Central India reported 43 per cent increase and Assam also saw a 42 per cent uptake.
The film is expected to emerge as a superhit over its first weekend.
The film also stars Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli in key roles.
'JugJugg Jeeyo' aims to highlight the complexities of love and marriage in a rather lighthearted manner. The film revolves around Varun and Kiara wanting to divorce each other, while the former's father, Anil Kapoor, too plans on parting ways with his wife Neetu.
Helmed by Raj Mehta, 'JugJugg Jeeyo' is produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18.
