Bhojpuri Actress Akshara Singh Receives Death Threat, Caller Demands ₹50 Lakh

Bhojpuri actress and Bigg Boss OTT contestant Akshara Singh has received a death threat call and the caller reportedly demanded Rs 50 lakh from her. Earlier, Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Salman have received death threats from different people.

According to media reports, the actress received threatening calls from two different numbers on the night of November 11. The caller reportedly demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh and warned of potential harm if the amount was not paid within two days.

Upon receiving the threats, Akshara contacted the local police, who launched an investigation to track down the individuals responsible.

Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj, the officer in charge, confirmed to the media that Akshara had filed an official complaint over the extortion and threats to her life. According to a report in Moneycontrol, Bhardwaj said, "The situation is being investigated."

The actress has not shared any statement regarding the matter yet.

In November 2023, Akshara had made headlines for joining election strategist Prashant Kishor's campaign 'Jan Suraaj'. She had officially announced her decision to step into politics and be inducted into the 'Jan Suraaj' movement ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Akshara has a huge fan following and she is one of the highest-paid actresses in the Bhojpuri film industry. She made her acting debut opposite Ravi Kishan in the 2010 action drama Satyamev Jayate.
