Amitabh Bachchan sustains serious injuries during Project K shoot in Hyderabad

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan sustained serious injuries during the shoot of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone's 'Project K' in Hyderabad'.

The veteran actor broke his rib cartilage and suffered a muscle tear to the right rib cage, he stated in his blog.

Big B is currently resting at his Mumbai residence Jalsa and all his shoots and commitments have been cancelled until further notice.

Big B wrote in his blog that post the accident, he was rushed to the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad, and after necessary scans, he was flown back to Mumbai.

The actor is currently at home as he has been advised complete rest by his doctors.

"Painful on movement and breathing... Will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur," Big B wrote in his blog.

This is not the first time Big B has been grievously injured on film sets. He was fatally injured while filming his 80s hit film 'Coolie' and he was nearly declared clinically dead.

Big B cancels Sunday meet

The actor also asked his fans to not visit Jalsa this weekend for his regular meet-up as he would not be able to make it this Sunday due to his injuries.

"It shall be difficult or let me say .. I shall be unable to meet, the well wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening .. so do not come .. and do inform as much as you can to those that intend coming.." he wrote in the blog.

Amitabh Bachchan's upcoming projects

Big B is currently busy with the shoot of 'Project K', which is being shot on a massive scale. 'Project K' is touted to be a 'graphics-heavy' film, based on the 'modern-day avatar of Vishnu'.

Around 70 per cent of the film's shoot has been completed.

The pan-India film, which will bring together Prabhas and Deepika together on the screen for the first time, will release in theatres on January 12, 2024.

Apart from that, Bachchan also has the remake of 'The Intern' in the pipeline, with Deepika opposite to him once again.

A few days ago, Big B also announced his new film with Ribhu Dasgupta, titled 'Section 84.
