UGC Invites Applications From HEIs For ODL And Online Programmes For Academic Year 2025-26
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has invited applications from eligible Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) for recognition to offer programs through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and/or online modes for the academic year 2025-26, starting in July-August 2025. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has invited applications from willing and eligible Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) seeking recognition to offer programs through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode and/or online mode for the academic year 2025-26. The academic session will commence during July-August 2025 and onwards. The details are available at deb.ugc.ac.in.
Important Dates:
- The online application window is now open and will close on April 3, 2025.
- The last date for submitting the hard copy of the original affidavit and annexures will be April 15, 2025.

Applicants for the UGC HEIs program must ensure that their institution fulfills the eligibility criteria set out under the UGC (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020.
The submission of an application alone should not be considered as granting approval. All applications will be subject to scrutiny in accordance with the standards outlined in the UGC (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020, and its amendments, as stated in the notification.
