Students from Sangam School of Excellence in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, have emerged as national winners of the Study Australia Entrepreneurship Challenge (SAEC) 2025 – India, an initiative backed by the Australian Government.
The announcement was made by Australia’s High Commissioner to India, H.E. Mr Philip Green OAM, at a ceremony held in New Delhi. The winning team impressed judges with their innovative pitch, developed as part of a rigorous, three-week hybrid program aimed at nurturing entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills among high schoolers.
Organised by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), the challenge brought together Grade 10 to 12 students from across the country, giving them hands-on mentorship from Australian academics and industry leaders.
Three-person teams were given the task of developing business solutions for actual issues in three areas of focus: Digital Transformation for Social Good, Human-Centered AI, and Green Tech & Sustainable Solutions.
The 2025 edition of the program featured 60 teams from 16 cities across India. The top six finalist teams, including the winning group from Sangam School, presented their ideas in person to a panel of judges at the culminating event in New Delhi.
Congratulating the participants, Mr Green said, “Each year, we see ideas and practical solutions from students across India, tackling real-world problems with creativity and insight. This challenge showcases Australia and India's strong and growing education relationship and our mutual commitment to nurturing the next generation of innovative minds.
