Today, February 10, is the last day to register online for the Odisha Police's 933 Sub Inspector and related positions. Applications are available at odishapolice.gov.in.

Vacancy details

Sub-Inspector of Police: 609 vacancies

Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed): 253 vacancies

Station Officer (Fire Service): 47 vacancies

Assistant Jailor under the Home Department, Government of Odisha: 24 vacancies

Eligibility criteria:

These positions are not open to people with disabilities.

Only women and transgender individuals are eligible to apply for the positions of Assistant Jailor and SI in the Odisha Police.

Candidates for these positions must be between the ages of 21 and 25 on January 1, 2024.

For SC, ST, SEBC, and female candidates, the maximum age limit has been loosened by five years.

The candidate must be an Indian citizen with strong morals and character.

He or she should have a healthy body and be free of any physical or organic defects.

After passing the ME school or higher-level exams with Odia as a subject, the HSC or an equivalent exam with Odia as a medium in non-language subjects, or the written test in Odia in the ME school standard administered by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha, the applicant must be able to read, write, and speak Odia.

Those who have been convicted of a crime or who have more than one surviving spouse are not allowed to apply.

For the positions of Assistant Jailor, SI Police, and SI Police (Armed), candidates must hold a bachelor's degree.

Only recent graduates in science or engineering are eligible to apply for the position of Station Officer (Fire Service).

Fill out the comprehensive application and attach the required documents.
