Mumbai News: Somaiya Film School To Host 5-Day Summer Workshop On Sound & Image From May 26–30 At Vidyavihar Campus
Designed to ignite young imaginations, the program will include interactive sessions, curated screenings of films and animations, and in-depth discussions on the magic of cinematic storytelling. The Somaiya Film School, under Somaiya Vidyavihar University, is set to host a five-day summer workshop for students of Class 8 and above, focusing on the role of sound (dhwani) and image (chitram) in storytelling and cinema. The workshop will run from May 26 to 30 at the Vidyavihar campus in Mumbai.
Designed to ignite young imaginations, the program will include interactive sessions, curated screenings of films and animations, and in-depth discussions on the magic of cinematic storytelling. Participants will explore how sound and visuals combine to enhance narrative and emotional experience in cinema.
The workshop will be conducted by Shri Brigudev Ranade, a young storyteller, artist, and animator trained at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Shri Narayan Parasuram, acclaimed music composer, co-founder of Karadi Tales, and one of the key figures behind Dhwani Chitram – The Somaiya Film School.
The registration fee is Rs. 1,000, which includes lunch for all five days.
