The admissions schedule for the various postgraduate (PG) and PhD programs offered by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay for 2025–2026 has been announced. The IIT Bombay PhD, MTech and MA courses registration process will start on March 25. Candidates can check the details at iitb.ac.in.

PhD Application Fee
The fee for women candidates and SC/ST/Pwd candidates will be Rs 150 during the regular period and Rs 650 during the extended period. For all other candidates, the fee will be Rs 300 during the regular period and Rs 800 during the extended period. The fee should be paid through SBI Internet Banking or the Online Payment System. No hard copy of the application needs to be sent, and applications without payment information online will not be taken into consideration.
PhD Admission Procedure
Admission is granted based on an interview, typically held one month before the start of the semester for which admission is sought. If required, the interview may be followed by a written test.
