The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for Friday due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit, during which he will inaugurate several development projects in the capital.

The advisory underscores traffic restrictions due to the VVIP visit, highlighting expected heavy traffic on specific routes and enforcing closures or regulated movement to facilitate smooth traffic flow. Key roads affected include Mall Road, GTK Road, and several others in the vicinity. Traffic restrictions will be in effect from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Residents headed to areas such as Azadpur, Model Town, and Ramleela Ground are advised to plan their travels accordingly and allow extra time for their journeys. The advisory urges motorists and commuters to exercise patience, adhere to traffic regulations, and follow the directives of stationed traffic personnel. It encourages staying updated on traffic conditions through official channels of the Delhi Traffic Police.

PM Modi's Key Events In Delhi Today

Notably, PM Modi will visit Swabhiman Apartments in Ashok Vihar around 12:10 PM to inaugurate 1,675 newly constructed flats under the In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project for residents of Jhuggi Jhopri clusters, and will hand over keys to beneficiaries.

He will also inaugurate urban redevelopment projects, including the World Trade Centre at Nauroji Nagar and GPRA Type-II Quarters at Sarojini Nagar. Additionally, the PM will kick off his assembly election campaign with a public rally at Ramleela Ground in northwest Delhi, with a second rally planned for January 5 in Rohini.
