Aman Gupta's Faux Pas

In a recent episode of the show, more precisely episode 49 of the ongoing fourth season, an enterprise by the name of Bear House, a clothing company, made its pitch. This pitch pegged the company's valuation at around Rs 240 crore.

In this pitch, what stood out for many was the comments made by boAt founder and its head, Aman Gupta. In his comments, while speaking to the pitchers, he said, "I normally have an interest in this sector But Rs 150 crore are being sold and I don't know about it I have a doubt on that too.

Gupta further added, "I have a doubt on myself that how come I don't know that you have made Rs 150 crore but if there was a brand like this, then I would have known"

Replying to this comment, the owners of the company, who were making the pitch said that had recently got an award also from you From Gupta.

A image of them receiving the award is then flashed, a confused and embarrassed Gupta said, "Yeah So it's me? No"

Reacting to this, a Reddit user shared a post with a caption, "God I hope this was scripted. Otherwise, it's so embarrassing"

Only thing that is scripted and rehearsed- the pitch. Script writers polish the pitch and make it as ‘audience friendly’ (shuddh hindi) as possible. This is the reason you’ll see non hindi speakers struggling but still continuing their pitch."
