Shantanu Naidu Chases New Heights; Ratan Tata's Millennial Friend Bags Top Job At Tata Motors

Shantanu Naidu, a young executive at Tata Group, is known for more than being just another executive at one of the largest conglomerates in the country. He was, as is evidenced by the time and moving movements known and captured, a friend of the late Tata Group chief Ratan Tata.

Ratan Tata's Millennial Friend Gets A Promotion

Tata passed away on October 9, 2024, but the stories of his special equation with Naidu have found a special place in the minds of many.

Recently, another piece of news from Shantanu Naidu came to pass when he announced the next step in his career.

Shantanu Naidu has now been promoted to General Manager and head of Strategic Initiatives at Tata's automobile arm, Tata Motors.

Naidu took to LinkedIn to share the news. In his post on the job-searching platform, Naidu said, "I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as General Manager, Head - Strategic Initiatives at Tata Motors!"

Life Has Come to A Full Circle

Naidu, along with announcement, also shared a heartfelt note, in which he said, "I remember when my father used to walk home from the Tata motors plant, in his white shirt and navy pants, and I would wait for him in the window. It comes full circle now ❤️"

To commemorate the moment, the 32-year-old also shared a photograph of him, standing next to the iconic Tata Nano, all while wearing a baby blue shirt and navy blue pants, similar to his father, when he was younger.

Naidu completed his graduation in 2014, when he passed with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, from the famed Savitribai Phule Pune University or Pune University.

He then went on to complete his MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management in New York, United States.
