Anand Mahindra Reacts To PM Modi's #FightObesity Campaign, Nominates These Public Figures
In his post, PM Modi said, "As mentioned in yesterday’s #MannKiBaat, I would like to nominate the following people to help strengthen the fight against obesity and spread awareness on reducing edible oil consumption in food."

PM Modi, while speaking in his monthly talk or Mann Ki Baat radio segment on Sunday, touched upon the aspect of health.
Fight Obesity
More specifically, he spoke about obesity in the country and, and the need to tackle the issue. This is because India, which is already known as the diabetes capital of India, has also surged in terms of the number of people suffering from obesity.
In order to tackle this, PM Modi kickstarted a new initiative, #FightObesity. Adding to the campaign, the PM nominated various celebrities and public figures from different walks of life.

In his post, PM Modi said, "As mentioned in yesterday’s #MannKiBaat, I would like to nominate the following people to help strengthen the fight against obesity and spread awareness on reducing edible oil consumption in food. I also request them to nominate 10 people each so that our movement gets bigger! "
One of the people, Modi nominated was ace industrialist and Mahindra Group chairman, Anand Mahindra.

In his post, he further went onto harp on the point made by PM, and underscored the need to reduce consumption of cooking oil.

In addition, he also nominated 10 names. Mahindra added names of the following individuals, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Viswanathan Anand, Ani Kapoor, PV Sindhu, Brahmini Nara, Gul Panag, Nikhil Kamath, Anish Shah, Hemant Sikka, and Suman Mishra from Mahindra Group.
