Youth Falls In Gap Between Platform & Moving Train In MP’s Shahdol, Saved By Passengers; Had Alighted Train To Pick Breakfast
The incident occurred on Thursday morning when the youth got down for breakfast at Hirdagarh railway station from train Shahdol Express.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A youth had a narrow escape after he slipped in an attempt to catch the moving train at Hirdagarh Railway Station in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh. He fell between the platform and the moving train when a brave passenger rushed to help him.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning when the youth got down for breakfast at Hirdagarh railway station from train Shahdol Express. He got late by a few seconds and the train started moving. He left his food and rushed towards the train. Unfortunately, his foot slipped and he fell between the gap between the platform and the train. He held the handle by the door and lift his legs to save himself. Seeing the incident, passengers on the train and the platform intervened and helped him.

The pictures showed that the train dragged the youth for nearly 100 meters, until another passenger standing at the railway station helped him to catch the train. Other people followed him.
Acting swiftly, the other passenger standing at the railway station pushed him towards the gate and bunch of passengers who were standing on the door pulled him inside.
Later, it was revealed that the man who first reached out to help was a teacher. The passengers and railway staff gave him a round of applaud to appreciate his effort.
