Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic road accident occurred in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur claiming lives of two youth and leaving one critically injured, on Wednesday, as reported by police on Wednesday.
According to police, the incident occurred near Dhanetha village, between Shahpura and Patan. Here, an unidentified speeding vehicle ran over three youths riding a motorcycle.
Two of the riders, Atul Kushwaha and Sachin Dahiya, died on the spot. The third, Shrikant Kushwaha, was critically injured and is currently undergoing treatment at the medical college.

Due to the late hour, the victims remained lying on the roadside for some time before villagers noticed them and informed the police and emergency services. By the time the police arrived, two of the youths had already passed away.
The police handed over the bodies to the families after post-mortem on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, the driver of the unidentified vehicle fled the scene after the accident.
Additional Superintendent of Police Suryakant Sharma said that efforts are underway to trace the vehicle involved. CCTV footage from Shahpura and surrounding areas is being reviewed. Patan police have registered a case and started an investigation.
