Ashoknagar (Madhya Pradesh): A 23-year-old youth was seriously injured after being hit by a train near Madhya Pradesh's Ratikheda railway station on Sunday. In the horrific accident both his legs were cut off.
According to information, the youth has been identified as as Gaurav Silawat, son of Pawan Silawat, a resident of Trilokpuri Colony of Ashoknagar. Gaurav was spotted by a passerby writhing in pain and informed the railway station. The station master informed the GRP police.
GRP police rushed to spot and sent the young man with both his legs cut off to the district hospital. Due to his critical condition, he has been further referred to Bhopal. According to the Government Railway Police, the exact details of the incident remain unclear, including which train struck the youth.
“We received information from a caller at the station. Upon reaching the spot, we found the youth in a critical condition and shifted him to the hospital immediately,” said a GRP official.

Police immediately admitted the youth to the hospital and also informed his family immediately. Family members were unable to provide information about where he had gone from home or how he ended up near the tracks.
