Swachh Survekshan 2024: Inspection Teams Assess Bhopal’s Cleanliness Rigorously, Highlights Issues In Key Zones | MyGovt.in
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Swachh Survekshan 2024 survey continued its rigorous inspection of Bhopal on the fourth day, with teams assessing cleanliness in both old and new parts of the city.
The inspection team from Delhi visited several areas of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday, covering five key zones: 7, 8, 10, 12, and 13. The survey focused on public areas, including parks, roads and public toilets.
The team also reviewed cleanliness of yellow and red spots in these zones. During inspection, two-member teams covered different areas. One team visited Jinsi area in Zone 12, where they noted piles of garbage along the roadside in old Bhopal.

Meanwhile, the second team wrapped up their survey in Zone 13. Other key areas such as Shivaji Nagar in Zone-8 and the vicinity of Vidhan Sabha in Zone-7 were also inspected for cleanliness. In addition to cleanliness checks, BMC staff from the health department and SBM (Swachh Bharat Mission) accompanied the survey team throughout the process.
After the day’s inspection, the team plans to continue its efforts by monitoring cleaning activities at night to ensure comprehensive oversight.
Surprise inspection at Karishma Park
A surprise inspection at Karishma Park in Zone-7 was done by the team when BMC cleaning workers were seen collecting garbage during the afternoon.
Upon arrival, the team discovered that two out of three garbage bins were missing from the park’s rack. A BMC worker quickly removed the third bin before the team could take photographs, raising suspicions that the missing bins may have been stolen.
