Man suffered serious injuries due to the beating and his condition got worsened, after the incident victim sought help from the chief minister.

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A case of 'brutal physical assault in police custody' has come to the fore in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur.
The victim in the viral video can be seen showing red injury marks all over his upper body. He accused Jabalpur police of beating him mercilessly on false allegations of involvement in an illegal liquor scam.
The video clearly shows severe bruises and marks of belts on his body, indicating harsh treatment while in custody.
The victim has been identified as Sudarshan Singh. His condition worsened after he was released; after the incident, the victim sought help from the chief minister.
Suspicion of illegal liquor sale
The police arrested the man under suspicion of illegal sale of liquor, During the suspicion, 48-year-old Sudarshan Singh was taken to the police station and brutally beaten up.
Shahpura police sent the youth to Patan sub-jail under section 170, 171 of BNS, The youth was released after his condition worsened after the beating.
Complaint against the accused
After being released from jail, Sudarshan Singh approached a local social worker and together they took the matter to higher authorities. He has also appealed directly to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for justice.
