Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): The popular five-day Mahadev Holi kicked off in Sehore with thousands of devotees gathering from across the world to celebrate devotion towards lord Shiva. This event saw a massive turnout as people across the state were seen playing with Gulal and Abir with full enthusiasm.
The highlight of the event is Aghoris participating in this spiritual procession along with the devotees. Alongside Aghoris, Tribal artists from Jhabua performed tribal dances on cultural and mythological themes.
The procession which passed through various parts of the city was welcomed with great zeal and excitement, with residents offering snacks and refreshment at different location.

Renowned storyteller Pandit Pradeep Mishra played a key role in the celebrations, beginning Mahadev’s Holi from the historic Chamatkaleshwar Mahadev temple in the city’s cantonment area. He then visited several other Shiva temples, delivering messages of devotion and spirituality. His presence heightened the enthusiasm among devotees, who gathered in large numbers at Mahadev temples across the city to celebrate the occasion.
At 9 am on Saturday, the grand procession commenced from Chamatkaleshwar Mahadev temple, passing through Nagar Palika and other prominent Shiva temples, before reaching the ancient Mankameshwar Mahadev temple at Tehsil Chauraha. The festive atmosphere was enhanced with drum beats, DJ music.

Apart from this artists from Jhabua gave their performances, and they were welcomed with oranges, bananas etc. Devotees were welcomed with Thandai, Aloo Bade, Poha and other snacks in different areas of the city.
