Police Should Ensure Prompt Action: Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav | FP Photo
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief minister Mohan Yadav has said that no matter what kind of crime happened, strict steps should be taken to control them. The chief minister conducted the law and order meeting with the police officials here on Tuesday.
The CM also received information from senior administrative and police officials of Naxal-affected area through video conference and gave necessary instructions. He said strict action should be taken against those who perform stunts on major roads in cities, those who brandish weapons, those who torture cows or those involved in crimes related to drugs.
It was informed at the meeting that under the anti-Naxal campaign in the state, where effective action has been taken, priority is being given to complete road construction and other development works.
Welfare measures
Public service camps are organised every week in Naxal-affected villages, distribution of 344 traditional musical instruments and costumes to tribal dance groups has been done. Along with this, works like distribution of land patta in tribal villages, providing benefits of various schemes through Ekal Suvidha Kendra and distribution of millets have been done.
Mandla collector said that focus was being placed on the health sector. Camps have been set up to identify sickle cell anemia. The target is to double the production of kodo kutki. Dindori collector informed that action was being taken by examining the applications received under Forest Rights Act.
