Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 25-year-old auto-rickshaw driver ended his life after his estranged wife refused to allow him to meet their daughter. Kolar police registered a case in this connection and is carrying out further investigations.
According to reports, Raisen resident Ajay Jatav’s wife was living with her parents after she had some differences with him. Ajay often used to visit their three-year-old daughter living with her mother. However, recently his wife had stopped allowing him to meet their daughter.
It is alleged that four days back, Ajay again reached his wife’s home behind Kolar police station and pleaded with her to allow him to meet his daughter.

Assistant sub inspector Manoj Nagvanshi said primary investigations indicate that upset over the refusal, Ajay consumed poison which he was carrying. His wife admitted him to the hospital where he died while undergoing treatment on Saturday night, ASI added.
In a separate incident, a tent house employee Mekh Singh (26) hanged himself at a farm house under Awadhpuri police station. No suicide note was found from the spot and investigations were underway to ascertain the reasons behind the incident, police said.
