New ₹1347.6 Cr 4-Lane Bypass To Boost Gwalior-Chambal Connectivity; Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia Expresses Gratitude

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): The central government has approved a major road project to enhance infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh. A 28.516-kilometer, four-lane, access-controlled bypass in the western part of Gwalior has received approval at a cost of ₹1347.6 crore.

This project is one of four key road initiatives approved with a total cost of ₹4302 crore. The projects include the expansion of national highways in Bhopal, Gwalior, and Sagar districts, as well as bypass construction.

According to information, the new bypass will connect Morena and Gwalior districts with important blocks and tehsil headquarters along the route. It links NH-46, NH-44, and the upcoming Agra-Gwalior Access-Controlled Highway. This improved connectivity will boost regional transportation and provide a vital corridor for commuters and goods.

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia expresses gratitude

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia expressed gratitude to Minister Nitin Gadkari for securing the approval for the bypass. He stated that his request for the project has provided an unmatched boon to the western region of Gwalior.

Scindia believes that this project will drive the development of Gwalior and the Chambal area, easing travel for residents and fostering regional progress. The project is expected to pave the way for enhanced regional development and improved public mobility, marking a new chapter for the Gwalior-Chambal region.
