Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The National Health Mission (NHM) has appointed more than 400 community health officers to expand and improve health services in the state.
These appointments have been made in aspiring and high priority districts, including Sidhi, Singrauli, Tikamgarh, Dindori, Panna and Chhatarpur, with a total of 415 community health officers appointed.
After the appointment of these officers, the people living in rural areas will be able to get primary health services near their homes.
The final appointment order will be issued after verification of records in the office of the Chief Medical and Health Officer of the respective districts.
In Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, holistic services are being provided through health packages of 12 services, which include pregnancy care, child and adolescent health, management of communicable and non-communicable diseases, mental health, elderly health care, oral diseases, dental diseases, eye diseases, nose, ear and throat diseases and emergency medical services.

Seventeen types of pathology tests and 126 types of medicines are available free of cost in these centres. Around 12551 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are operational in the state, out of which community health officers are to be appointed in 10189 centres.
Officials of the National Health Mission, Madhya Pradesh said that the shortlisted candidates for certificate course in community health were asked to select the option for posting place through MP Online and as many as 415 community health officers had been posted in Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.
