MP History-Sheeter Mukesh Yadav Aka 'Bhonta' Arrested In Gwalior After Evading Police For Months; Had 20 Cases Of Extortion, Theft & More

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Gwalior police have arrested Mukesh Yadav alias Bhonta, a history-sheeter with over 20 criminal cases, including attempted murder, robbery, assault, and extortion. Yadav had been evading capture for the last three months, outsmarting police on multiple occasions.
The breakthrough came on Friday night when the police received a tip-off about Yadav's presence in the city. He had come to attend a relative's wedding. Acting swiftly, a team was deployed to nab him. When the police cornered him, Yadav attempted to flee. However, the officers pursued and successfully apprehended him.

According to information, the case against Yadav stems from an incident on Jigsouli Road in the city. Yadav, along with Satya Yadav and four others, attacked Deepa Yadav of Kheria over extortion. They brutally beat him with rods and sticks and even fired shots. Deepa was critically injured and hospitalized. Following the incident, police registered a case of attempted murder against all six attackers.
Police had already nabbed one of Yadav’s accomplices, Satya Yadav. Apprehension of Satya Yadav was followed by a round of intense questioning. After days of questioning and interrogation, Satya finally revealed Mukesh Yadav's whereabouts. Acting on the information given by Satya and one other informer, police launched a manhunt and apprehended 'Bhonta' from a wedding in the city. Further investigations into the his crimes is underway.
