MP: Governor Awards Degrees At Vikram University’s 29th Convocation; CM Mohan Yadav Announces Renaming To Samrat Vikramaditya University (WATCH)

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The 29th convocation ceremony of Vikram University, in Ujjain was held with grandeur. Governor Mangubhai Patel awarded degrees and gold medals to students. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Padma Bhushan Kamlesh D. Patel received honorary D.Litt. degrees.

The ceremony began with an academic procession. Dignitaries paid floral tributes to Emperor Vikramaditya’s statue and lit a ceremonial lamp. The event saw the participation of Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar, Rajya Sabha MP Bal Yogi Umesh Nath Maharaj, and other notable guests.

According to information, during the event, CM Yadav announced that Vikram University would soon be renamed Samrat Vikramaditya University. He highlighted Ujjain’s historical and spiritual significance, calling it one of the seven sacred cities of India. He congratulated gold medalists and urged them to bring glory to their university, state, and country.

Governor Patel advised students to remain grateful to their parents. He noted that many children forget their parents after securing good jobs. He emphasized that parents endure hardships to support their children and deserve respect and care. He urged students to serve their parents, as doing so benefits society and the nation. A total of 163 students received degrees, including 64 Ph.D. holders and two D.Litt. recipients. The event concluded with the national anthem and university song.
