MP: 'Depressed', Father Of BJP Leader Shoots Self With His Licensed Gun In Gwalior
The deceased is also the cousin of a BJP MLA from Gwalior's Bhitarwar assembly constituency, Mohan Singh Rathore.

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A BJP leader's elderly father allegedly shot himself to death in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior. The deceased has been identified as 75-year-old Ashok Singh Rathore, father of BJP leader Ashish Pratap Rathore.
He shot himself with his licensed gun on Friday night and died during the treatment on Saturday morning. It is said that the senior Rathore was suffering from depression and was under treatment for the same.
The deceased is also the cousin of a BJP MLA from Gwalior's Bhitarwar assembly constituency, Mohan Singh Rathore.
According to information, the incident took place in the Jawahar Colony of Gwalior's Kampoo police station area on Friday night, when the head of the house, Ashok Singh Rathore, had gone to rest in his room after dinner. The other family members were also in their respective rooms and were preparing to sleep. Suddenly, there was a loud explosion-like sound. Alarmed, they rushed to his room, only to find him lying unconscious in a pool of blood. His licensed pistol was also recovered from the spot. Rathore was taken to a private hospital, where he succumbed during treatment on Saturday morning.
Police and Forensic team reached the spot under the leadership of Akhilesh Bhargava to closely examine the incident spot.
Further investigation is underway.
