Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The spell of extreme heat is forecast to begin in Madhya Pradesh from Wednesday.
According to the Meteorological Department, many parts of the state are expected to experience heatwave conditions, especially in the Gwalior, Chambal, Indore, and Ujjain regions.

Districts like Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar, Barwani, Khargone, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Sheopur, Morena, and Bhind are going to be hottest. Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, and Gwalior will also feel the intense heat.
What do meteorologists say?
The weathermen say, three weather systems are active in the region at present. Two cyclonic circulations and a trough. A new Western Disturbance is expected to impact the Western Himalayas from April 16, which might cool down temperatures in MP by 2–3°C after two days.
The entire state will face increased heat until April 18. There are no chances of rain during this time, except for light drizzle in some parts of eastern MP like Jabalpur, Rewa, and Shahdol.
Weather expected for next 2 days
April 17: Ujjain, Dewas, Harda, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Khargone, Barwani, Dhar, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Ratlam, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Panna, Chhatarpur, Sheopur, Morena, Niwari, and Bhind will see a sharp rise in temperature. Bhopal and Indore may cross 41°C.
April 18:
On Tuesday, Ratlam’s Sailana recorded the highest temperature at 42.2°C. Other temperatures were as follows:
Dhar & Narmadapuram were at 41.2°C; Khandwa: 41.1°C; Shajapur & Narsinghpur: 40.6°C; Khargone: 40.2°C; Ujjain: 40.8°C; Indore: 40.1°C; Bhopal: 39.5°C; Jabalpur: 38.6°C and Gwalior: 37.7°C.
