MP: 3-Year-Old Leopard Run Over By Speeding Vehicle In Bhind
The accident occurred early in the morning near Kankura village on National Highway 719 in the Dehat police station area of Bhind.

Bhind (Madhya Pradesh): A three-year-old leopard died in a road accident while crossing the road in Bhind on Thursday.
The accident occurred early in the morning near Kankura village on National Highway 719 in the Dehat police station area of Bhind.
According to information, the leopard was crossing the road from the quarry river area, when an unknown vehicle hit it.
Forest Ranger Basant Sharma said the accident happened between 3 to 4 am.
After the accident, the injured leopard went into nearby bushes, where it died. As soon as the Forest Department got the information, a team reached the spot and took the leopard’s body to the Bhind Forest Office.
The investigation found that the leopard was a 3-year-old male. It suffered serious injuries on the head and face, causing heavy bleeding, which led to its death. The veterinary team has completed the post-mortem.
Forest Department SDO Bahadur Singh Gaur said the leopard’s last rites will be done as per rules after the post-mortem.
A case has been registered against the unknown vehicle under the Wildlife Protection Act, and efforts are on to find the vehicle.
