Massive Fire At Bhopal’s Sunrise Marriage Garden After 10 Gas Cylinder Blasts; Panic In Nearby Area |
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A massive fire broke out in a Bhopal’s Sunrise Marriage Garden on monday night after 10 gas cylinders exploded one after another.
Cracks appeared in the walls of many nearby houses.
According to reports, The incident occurred in Ward 74, a densely populated residential zone. The blasts triggered panic among residents and nearby colonies. First responders reached the site immediately after receiving information and managed to bring the blaze under control after nearly two hours of intensive effort.
No casualties have been reported yet, though the officials are yet to release an official statement on the damage caused by the fire.

Preliminary information states that, this marriage garden was running illegally for the last two years. Locals alleged that there was a constant problem of traffic congestion and noise pollution in the locality.
There have been incidents of fire earlier, which violated safety concerns and administration ignored the matter. People have demanded strict action against garden operator Rohit Sahu.
Allegations of illegal refilling of cylinders
According to residents they have been constantly objecting to the operation of this garden. Allegations have also emerged regarding illegal gas cylinder refilling at the premises. Complaints of this had been made earlier as well, but no action was taken.
Many locals complained that garden is situated in the middle of the residential area and the waste from the kitchen is dumped in open fields nearby, causing unbearable stench.
