Sagar (Madhya Pradesh): A grand mass wedding ceremony will be organized on April 16 at the Government Model School premises under the Mukhya Mantri Kanyadaan Yojna. The initiative aims to support economically weaker families by covering wedding expenses and providing financial assistance to newlyweds.
It will be held following instructions of legislator from Khurai and former minister Bhupendra Singh. Registration of those who wish to get married at the mass wedding ceremony will be done in four offices of the civic body and two offices of the Janpad Panchayat.
Singh has written a letter to the collector of Sagar to ensure that all arrangements are made for the ceremony. Those who wish to take the benefits of the Kanyadaan Yojna should get themselves registered at Janpad Panchayat office and Nagar Palika office, Khurai.
Similarly, the registration of men and women, wishing to marry, will be done in Nagar Parishad office, Malthaun, Nagar Parishad office in Barodia Kalana, and Nagar Parishad unit in Barodiya Kalan.
Singh appealed to the eligible people to take the benefits of the scheme. He also emphasized that the Mukhya Mantri Kanyadaan Yojna is a significant social welfare scheme that helps underprivileged families perform their daughters’ weddings with dignity.
