Married Woman Kidnapped From Jabalpur Police Station After Couple Seeks Protection Against Family
Her husband’s family now claims that her own relatives kidnapped her with the support of police.

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A married woman was allegedly kidnapped from inside a police post in Jabalpur while police officers were present on Thursday.
The woman, Rukhsar Khan, had gone to the Baghraji police post with her husband, Sameer Khan, to give a statement.

According to information, Rukhsar and Sameer got married with mutual consent on March 24. After their wedding, they visited the Jabalpur SP office to inform about the marriage and to ask for protection.
On April 23, they went to the Baghraji police post when the police called them to record a statement.

Sameer and his relatives allege that Rukhsar’s family, along with the help of some police staff, called them to the station as part of a plan to take her away. During the incident, Rukhsar’s family reportedly attacked Sameer and his family, used chili powder to blind them, and forcibly took Rukhsar away.
Sameer has openly accused the Baghraji police of working together with Rukhsar’s family.
In response, Additional SP Suryakant Sharma has ordered an inquiry and said that any police officer found guilty will face strict action.
