Madhya Pradesh Win 12 Gold Medals In Canoe Sprint, Para Canoe Championship
MP is on the top of the medal tally. Madhya Pradesh won nine medals including four gold, three silver and two bronze medals at the 18th National Para Canoe championship.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Athletes from Madhya Pradesh clinched 14 medals including eight gold, three silver and three bronze in the 35th National Junior and Sub Junior Canoe Sprint Championship on Sunday. Kerala and Odisha won two gold medals each.
MP is on the top of the medal tally. Madhya Pradesh won nine medals including four gold, three silver and two bronze medals at the 18th National Para Canoe championship.
It was part of the fourth day of five-day ongoing 35th National Junior and Sub Junior Canoe Sprint and 18th National Para Canoe organised under the aegis of MP Kayaking and Canoeing Association and Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association on Lower Lake.
In 200m sub junior boys K-2, Wangthoi and Yebhaba of MP won gold medal. In K-4, the quartet of Ishan, Wangthoi, Devjeet and Yebhaba of MP won gold medals. In the C-1 boys category, Sudhir Kumar of MP won a gold medal.
In the sub junior girls’ category, Bhagyashree and Niharika Singh of MP won gold medal. In 5000-m, Aditya of MP won gold medal. In the women’s category, Rukmani won gold and Krishna won silver medal. In the mixed category, the pair of Masuma and Prince won gold and the pair of Rohan and Chandrakala also won gold medal.
