Madhya Pradesh June 25 Weather Update: Monsoon In Full Swing In State; Heavy Rain Alert In Bhopal, Gwalior & More

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): State is likely to see heavy rain on Wednesday, with alerts issued for 16 districts.

These include parts of Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Rewa, Sagar, and Gwalior-Chambal divisions.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that up to 4.5 inches of rain may fall within 24 hours.

June 25: Heavy rain likely in Gwalior, Shivpuri, Sehore, Sagar, Damoh, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Rewa, and Sidhi. Yellow alert for rain continues in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, and other districts.

June 26: Rain alert for Bhopal, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Sehore, Sagar, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Damoh, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla, and Dindori. Other areas may experience thunderstorms and showers.

June 27: Heavy rain possible in Sagar, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Vidisha, Damoh, Pandhurna, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Rewa, Sidhi, and Singrauli. Other parts of MP are also expected to receive rain.

June 28: Heavy rain likely in Gwalior, Shivpuri, Sehore, Sagar, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Narsinghpur, Damoh, Chhindwara, Rewa, and Sidhi. Rain is also expected to continue in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, and nearby areas.

On Tuesday, over 20 districts of the state already experienced rainfall. According to the weather department, districts expected to receive heavy rain on Wednesday include Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Shajapur, Raisen, Dewas, Dhar, Narmadapuram, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla, and Balaghat.

A yellow alert for rain has also been issued for Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, and many other regions.

It’s worth noting that the monsoon reached India eight days early this year. It moved faster than expected in states like Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. People expected it to arrive in Madhya Pradesh in the first week of June, but it was delayed.

The monsoon got stuck over Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh for about 15 days. It finally moved forward around June 13–14 and entered MP one day later than normal.

Despite the delay, within just three days the monsoon covered 53 districts of the state.
