Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The five-day winter session of the 16th Legislative Assembly will start on Monday.

Principal secretary of the Assembly AP Singh said that there will be five sittings of the House.

Since the notification of the winter session was issued, information of 888 starred questions and 878 unstarred questions have been received in the Assembly Secretariat. Assembly sources said a total 1766 questions were submitted.

Among them 888 are started questions and 876 are un-started questions. As many as 1,070 questions were filed through the online system and 696 questions through the offline method.

About 178 notices of call-attention, one adjournment motion, 14 unofficial resolutions and 47 zero hour have been received. Information on eight bills will be presented in the Assembly. This will be the fourth session of the 15th Legislative Assembly of the state.

Model Tenancy Act Will Not Be Presented

The Model Tenancy Act will not be presented in the Winter Assembly session starting today (Monday). The Urban Administration Department (UAD) has decided to review the draft of the proposed MP Tenancy Act 2024 by comparing it with the existing MP Tenancy Act 2010, also known as MP Parisar Kriyadari Adhiniyam. The new Tenancy Act, pending for the past few years, aims to address gaps and ensure a better framework by learning from the previous Act.
