Horrific! Lift Free-Falls From 4th Floor At Bhopal's Sagar Plaza; 6 Injured, 2 Sustain Leg Fracture -- VIDEO
Seven people were injured after a lift fell from the third floor of Sagar Plaza in Bhopal’s MP Nagar Zone-2 on Wednesday evening. All the injured were journalists returning after meeting a colleague. Rizwan Ahmed Siddiqui and Sushil Tripathi suffered serious leg injuries. They were admitted to hospitals. Police began investigating the incident.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A lift suddenly fell from the fourth floor of an advertising agency in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal, injuring as many as 6 people, as reported on Wednesday.
According to information, the incident occurred at Sagar Plaza in MP Nagar Zone-2 on Wednesday evening around 5 pm.
All the injured were 6 office-bearers of the Labour Journalists’ Association who had gone to meet a fellow journalist at an office in Sagar Plaza.
Sources said the accident happened while they were returning and using the lift. As soon as they entered the lift, it broke and fell down all of a sudden.
The impact was so severe that all the glasses of the lift broke creating panic in the area.
As soon as the incident occurred, passersby rushed to the rescue and reported the matter to MP Nagar Police Station.
2 suffer serious leg injuries
Among the injured were Dilip Bhadoriya, Sunil Tripathi, SadiaKhan, Pragati Srivastava, Anita Choubey and Rizwan Ahmed Siddiqui. All of them sustained severe injuries and are underegoing treatment at present.
Among them, Rizwan Ahmed Siddiqui and Sushil Tripathi suffered serious leg injuries. Siddiqui was admitted to Narmada Hospital, while Tripathi was taken to SAGE Hospital for treatment.
Regarding the matter, police said the lift suddenly crashed to the ground floor from the fourth floor, leaving all 6 occupants injured.
Not the first time!
It is said the incident occurred at Sage University and similar mishap occurred earlier as well.
It was also alleged that the lift crashed due to lack of proper safety arrangements and no action was taken in the matter despite several compaints.
At present, all the injured are undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation into the incident.
